What Is Key Programming?
Modern car keys contain a tiny electronic chip (transponder) that communicates with your car's immobiliser. Without the right chip programmed to your specific vehicle, the key won't start the engine — even if the physical blade is cut perfectly. Key programming is the process of syncing a new key's chip to your vehicle's security system.
